Bluebell Coppice Weddings is the perfect venue for those looking for somewhere relaxed to extend their wedding celebrations over a long weekend or whole week (rather than a single day). Not only are we a licensed wedding venue, we can also accommodate your wedding party to stay with us. This offers a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy the company of friends and family for a longer period of time and in a more intimate setting.

We are also unique as a DIY wedding venue which means that you have the choice and freedom to create your own perfectly individual wedding.

We have no corkage and pride ourselves in being transparent in all our fees. We understand that planning a wedding can be a big job so we strive to be as helpful as possible; no question or concern is too big or small.

Exclusive use

You can hire Bluebell Coppice Weddings for a long weekend from 3pm Friday to 10am Monday. We also offer mid-week weddings.  

As an exclusive use venue, you won’t be disturbed by other people; the venue is entirely yours. We have stunning wedding barns, but you are welcome to bring in marquees onto our beautiful grounds if you wish to, you can have up to 150 of your friends and family present to celebrate with you.

Your ceremony

We are licensed for indoor and outdoor civil ceremonies and you can choose to get married at any of our licensed locations.

Wedding Questions

You will have plenty of questions leading up to your wedding, from the obvious to the often bizarre. We have tried to make life simple for you with some handy Q&A's.

  • How many people are you licensed for a ceremony?

    We are licensed for up to 150 people.

  • Do we need a wedding planner?

    On the day we will assist and can provide staff at additional cost. You can hire a wedding planner who we will happily work with.

  • Are there set locations for the ceremony to take place?

    The license is for the woodland area and the Wedding Barn. However, it is possible to have the legal registration in these areas and a ceremony anywhere in our grounds.

  • Do you allow pets?

    Of course we do!

  • Is there a local church that we can get married in?

    Yes in Crowhurst village 1.5 miles away.

Wedding Questions

  • What is the maximum capacity for an evening party?

    As many as you like but we can only sleep a maximum of 150 people.

  • What tables and seating is included?

    We have enough tables and benches to sit 110 guests in the barn.

  • Do you have high chairs ?

    We have 2 high chairs on site for guests.

  • Do you supply cutlery, crockery and glassware?

    You will need to supply your own or we can recommend a nearby caterer who can provide anything required.

  • Do you have fairy lights?

    Yes they are permanently up and included.

  • Is there any kitchen equipment available?

    There is a small catering kitchen in the Wedding Barn with a sink, oven, fridges, freezers,  plus all lodges have kitchenettes.

  • What time can you have amplified music until?

    It is allowed until 11pm.

  • Where can the wedding couple change?

    You can use one of the lodges.

A DIY venue

As a DIY wedding venue, you are in complete control of what you want to do, how you want to do it and most importantly, how much you want to spend. You have full access to the grounds and are in charge of organising your own catering, flowers, décor, entertainment and photographers to suit your style and budget.

Every wedding is as unique as you are and we don’t believe a one size fits all package, which allows you the freedom that is required to make your wedding perfectly yours. We are more than happy to recommend trusted suppliers but we do not insist that you choose one over another. You can make your big day as formal (award winning banquet style caterers) or as casual (friends and family all bringing their favourite dish for a fantastic buffet) as you wish.

We have an entertainment and alcohol licence allowing you to have a pay bar if you wish, supply yourselves or ask guests to bring their own (no corkage fees!). We also have a team of helpful and reliable staff available to help with waitressing, washing up and drinks service should you wish to have the extra helping hands.
