Bluebell Coppice Weddings

Des and Jules discovered the park in 2018 when they camped here while looking for a new house in the area. The park has been a campsite for over 30 years and like most of our guests seem to, they fell in love with the natural surroundings.

The park had great potential to offer so much more so, instead of buying a house, they bought the campsite. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Over the next 18 months they invested to modernise and improve the park but without losing the surrounding natural beauty.

The park is now able to offer not just camping but also glamping bell tents and woodland lodges alongside some great facilities - and most importantly Weddings!

We have 10 acres of ancient woodland on site for you to explore plus a small catch and release fishing lake.

The woods spring to life with anemones in March and our bluebells and wild orchids bloom in April and May.

Throughout the year, our rural location ensures there’s plenty of wildlife to spot. Our lake is an active breeding area for frogs and dragonflies and attracts ducks, heron, cormorant and many other species of water lovers. We have hundreds of rabbits, an albino squirrel, and plenty of regular squirrels too. There are badgers but it’s not too likely you will see one, sorry. We have a hedgehog that likes to snuffle around tents and awnings, you’ve been warned. Foxes are also frequently seen and heard almost every night.

Birdlife is plentiful. We have pheasant, blue, great, and coal tits, grey wagtails, robin, nut hatch, and many more. You’ll hear nightingales, owls, and woodpeckers but they are difficult to spot. Look to the skies for kites and buzzards.

In summer we have colourful dragonflies and luminescent glow worms.
